At VTC Independent School we care about improving the learning experience for our students who may have found Art a challenge in the past. Here at VTC we follow the NOCN Level 1 qualification in Art & Design Photography. The areas which students will look at are:  

Using a Camera and Accessories  

Lighting in Photography  

The Photographic Project  

Using a Film or Digital Camera  

Develop Photography Techniques using Materials and Resources  

Photography: A creative Approach to Picture Making 

Students will be able to go out into the community to take photos in areas such as Landscape, Urban Landscape, Nature, Wildlife etc. Photography will aim to develop a student’s practical skills such as taking and editing photos. It will also help students to explore a wide range of ideas and approaches. Looking at the history of photography and different artists, students will be able to help them influence their own work and develop their own personal techniques.
